Dove Antiperspirant Spray Deodorants Review

Let's talk about the importance of good feminine hygiene. We all know body odour is a natural but unpleasant occurrence in our daily lives. There are varying degrees to it regarding daily activities and can cause great anxiety in some when not kept under control. I have experienced this problem after a long day of performing on stage and feeling like I'm a musty and sweaty mess. Feminine hygiene is important to a woman as it can make or seriously break your confidence when out in the real world. There are a plethora of deodorants on the market to combat this problem, but not many are suitable for every skin type and activity. Some harsh ingredients tend to damage the fabrics of your most beloved clothes. It can especially damage your delicate underarm skin barrier too. Thanks to Dove I have found a happy medium to eliminate all these concerns. I shall be reviewing my experience with their Antiperspirant Spray Deodorant range. Out of the range, I have six to showcase. Grab a snack, and let's go!

 

The Dove Antiperspirant Spray is marketed as a 48 hour protection deodorant. It contains 1/4 moisturising cream to leave your underarms feeling smooth and non-irritated after a long day. The formula is alcohol-free and suitable for sensitive skin. There are many scents to choose from, and each spray caters to a specific need along with the fragrance. The spray bottle comes in a 150ml can with a user-friendly rubber top to effortlessly disperse the deodorant. The packaging is not only functional and easy to use but aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well. Directions on the bottle state to shake the can well, hold 15cm from the under arm and spray in a circular motion for even courage. It is a mess-free and quick application. The spray nozzle distributes the product gently, resulting in an even coating of the antiperspirant. This is known as a dry spray, meaning the deodorant dries in a 'nick of time' after application. There is no need to awkwardly walk around with your arms in the air on a cold winter's day, waiting for your underarms to dry. Thank goodness those embarrassing moments are over! 

As  mentioned above, I have tried and tested six of the product range. Availability of scents is according to the individual country's distribution. Unfortunately, South Africa does not have the extensive line compared to the USA. Nevertheless, I am grateful for the amazing options we have. I will start from my most favourite to my least purchased:

 

Dove Original Moisturising Cream: The original Dove scent will forever be a classic and favourite amongst hygiene enthusiasts like myself. The alcohol-free and 1/4 moisturising ingredients are perfect for any woman as it ensures soft and smooth underarms. The light scent removes unwanted smells and keeps you sweat-free all day. This product is like a security blanket. You know you will always be secure, and it will never let you down, no matter the circumstances. It will forever be a recurring purchase for me. 

Dove Mineral Touch Moisturising Cream: This is one of my favourite scents in the range. I absolutely love the smell of ocean waves. The spray reminds me of white sandy beaches and crisp salty air. The fragrance is very unique and gives just enough punch to eliminate odour but not too overpowering. It is great for any occasion and lasts all day long too. The antiperspirant contains dead sea minerals enriched with Vitamin E to protect the skin and provide ultimate moisture.

Dove Go Fresh Cucumber and Green Tea Moisturising Cream: This is a cool, clean and crisp scent perfect for everyday use. You can never go wrong with this sweet and refreshing fragrance. The burst of green tea and cucumber uplifts your senses and protects you all day long against sweat and odour. It is definitely a top favourite for me.

Dove Go Fresh Grapefruit and Lemongrass Moisturising Cream: This spray was a truly pleasant surprise. I love the uplifting citrus scent. A revitalizing product to use on Spring and Summer mornings to uplift the mood for your bright and sunny day. This would be lovely to use after working out as the zesty fragrance would eliminate odours in an instant and leave you feeling fresh.

Dove Eventone Calendula Moisturising Cream: If you suffer from sensitive skin and dermatitis, you will enjoy the soothing benefits of the calendula formula. It truly is gentle under the arms and excellent to use after shaving. The scent is very mild and natural. Therefore it won't be an unpleasant experience for those who struggle with allergies and irritation.

Dove Beauty Finish Moisturising Cream: Even though the spray can has my beloved pink packaging, I most definitely won't be repurchasing this one. I cannot stand strong musky scents, and this one mixed with heavy florals was a big no for me. The formula is mixed with light-reflecting minerals which helps provide smooth and silky underarms, especially after shaving. If you love musk then this one is for you.

Dove Antiperspirant Spray Deodrants are a true staple in my hygiene routine. I adore the variety of scents and the easy application. The dry spray ensures sweat-free and even coverage underarms. I love that the formula contains 1/4 moisturising ingredients to hydrate and ensure an even skin tone. Have you tried any of these scents? What was your experience?
