Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Hyaluronic Moisture Kick Review
Hi Divas
After a bitterly cold and wet Winter in Cape Town, my hair was in need of some extra TLC. Dry, dull and brittle ends are all signs of lack of moisture within the hair shaft. Keeping your hair hydrated and eating a well-balanced diet all contributes to good hair health. In order to maintain length and decrease fallout and breakage, moisture is one of the key elements to get you through particularly harsh weather conditions. Thanks to the new and improved Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Hyaluronic Moisture Kick range with Hyaluronic Acid Derivate, you can give your hair a boost of much needed nourishment. Hyaluronic Acid is well known for its skin care benefits. Who would have thought that it could benefit your beautiful tresses too? Hyaluronic Acid helps to re-balance moisture levels within the hair. It is a hydrating agent delivering long lasting moisture and plumping properties to the hair shaft. This in turn makes the hair supple, shiny and increases elasticity. There are quite a few products within the revamped range. I shall be reviewing the three major items; shampoo, mask and leave-in conditioner.
BC Bonacure Hyaluronic Moisture Kick Micellar Shampoo
This shampoo comes in the standard 250ml size and is packaged in a beautiful sea blue bottle. These hues of aqua remind me of beautiful summer days at the beach and floating in beautiful pristine blue waters. The shampoo is aimed at those with particularly dry, brittle and coarse hair. It gently cleanses the scalp while helping to prevent dehydration. The formula is silicone free but not sulphate free. The product has a gel like texture and lathers well on the hair. It cleanses thoroughly without leaving my head feeling stripped. My scalp is well cleansed and my hair feels soft to the touch after use. There is a light floral scent within the shampoo and makes my hair smelling fresh and clean. Overall, this a good quality shampoo, that delivers moisture and cleanses thoroughly as well. I definitely recommend it for all hair types.
BC Bonacure Hyaluronic Moisture Kick Treatment
The moisture mask is packaged in a 200 ml blue tub. This product is aimed at normal to dry hair. It is described as a deeply moisturizing treatment which binds moisture to the hair shaft. It claims to restore inner strength and elasticity as well as improve suppleness and manageability of the hair. This is a light weight formula which easily penetrates into the hair follicles. It soaks immediately and provides hydration to de-tangle and restore my dry ends. The scent is stronger than the shampoo and might be overpowering to those who are sensitive to fragrances. This deep treatment gives me the benefits of moisture and hydration without weighing my hair down. There is bounce and volume in my hair after use. I would say that this mask would not be ideal for very thick and curly hair. It would be too light and won't provide enough slip to de-tangle very coarse locks. This is a light weight treatment and is perfect for those who want moisture without weighing their hair down. It is therefore not suitable for all hair types.
BC Bonacure Hyaluronic Moisture Kick Spray Conditioner
I would have to say this is my favourite product out of the range. I am always on the hunt for a good leave-in conditioner that will moisturize my curls without any residue, itchy scalp or stickiness. This product definitely delivers and is free of all the above-mentioned issues. The conditioner is packaged in a convenient 200 ml spray bottle. All you have to do is shake it up, spritz all over the hair and comb through. This magic product gives my hair the moisture it needs without weighing it down. My curls look shiny, hydrated and bouncy. I love that the formula is sulphate free and the emulsion is light enough to use on wet and dry hair. This product is perfect for those Summer beach days when blow drying and heat tools are out of the question. The spray conditioner keeps my hair protected and healthy. I recommend this leave-in conditioner to all hair types. It will be great to use as a curl refresher on those humid or chilly days.
In conclusion, Schwarzkopf did an excellent job reworking the BC Bonacure formula. The products are of the highest quality and work wonders on the hair. My favourite items are the Spray leave-in conditioner along with the shampoo. As you can see in the photo above, my locks look well hydrated, healthy, shiny and bouncy. I recommend this range to those who are looking for moisture without weighing the hair down. If you want something deeper with a lot more slip to detangle your curls, you will have to give this a skip. I hope you found this review helpful.
