Schwarzkopf Bonacure Hairtherapy Moisture Kick Review

Hey Divas!

Do you notice a theme with my blog posts lately? All the products have had a blue or teal theme. I have no idea why I had a sudden urge to review all my blue toned products, Lol. Maybe it's because it is Summertime and my favourite place on earth is the beach. So subconsciously all the blue tones made me feel inspired to review my favourite Summer beauty products. I have another Summer based product favourite of mine this time in the hair care range. I bought the Schwarzkopf Bonacure Moisture Kick range from Retail Box as they were having a sale before the festive season started. These products came in a bundle for an amazing bargain. I decided on purchasing these products because it came with a leave in conditioner. During the Summer months I hardly blow dry my hair as it is just too hot to put myself through that torture. I prefer rocking my natural crazy curls. In Summer we tend to swim a lot too, so I do not waste my time with blow dryers and straightening irons if I know it is just going to get ruined by the pool or a day at the beach. I have a lot of protein based hair products therefore I stocked up on some moisture hair care for my dry ends. Here are my reviews:

Moisture Kick Shampoo
The shampoo comes in a tall 250 ml bottle. It has a white milky texture that lathers easily on the scalp. The shampoo is perfect for everyday use. I usually shampoo my hair twice in one wash and it gets rid of all dirt and grease. It rinses out well too and does not leave any residue on my scalp. It cleanses great and leaves my hair silky soft. This shampoo contains Hyaluronic Acid Derivate which adds moisture to the hair shaft while cleansing it. It has a floral perfume scent that is quite strong. It is not the prettiest shampoo scent because it smells quite artificial. If you are someone that is sensitive to fragrances, this one might irritate you.

Moisture Kick Treatment
This is a 200 ml water based mask in a tub, that is suitable for normal to dry hair. This mask is amazing in that it is so light on the hair yet so moisturising. Most masks leave my hair feeling heavy and can be difficult to rinse out thoroughly. This one as the shampoo contains Hyaluronic Acid Derivate which penetrates the hair cells and gives it maximum moisture without weighing the hair shaft down. This would work great on people with thin hair that want intense nourishment without the grease or oiliness.  Whether I blow dry my hair or leave my natural curls my hair feels soft, detangled and has a healthy shine. I do not like the scent of this one either as it has quite a artificial perfume smell. I don't mind though because the results this mask gives my hair is just awesome.

Moisture Kick Spray Conditioner
The leave in conditioner comes in a 200ml spray bottle. This is lovely to pop in your bag if you are going to the beach or a pool party. I would say that this is a great top up spray and not a conditioner to be used on it's own as a moisturising conditioner. You probably wondering what I mean by that. I think this conditioner spray is great to spritz on your hair as a quick fix if you do not want to blow dry your hair and want to enhance your natural waves. It is also great to spray on your hair after you have been swimming to tame your waves and act as a moisture lock on your hair shaft. I do not think that this product is meant to be used solely on it's own. I usually shampoo my hair, apply the moisture mask, rinse everything out and then apply this as a leave in top up. You won't get good results if you just shampoo and use this spray as your moisturising conditioner. For me this spray does not contain enough moisture to give a all over nourishing effect. It is a quick fix for when you out and about but works great as a top up after the moisture masks. If you have very fine hair it might be enough for you but someone with thick hair like me needs an extra kick! (Excuse the pun)

To conclude, I love all the products from this range and would definitely buy the bundle again when it goes on special. I hope you found this review helpful.

Much love and Divalicious kisses.
