Discover your
scent with Danny Ventura
Thanks to Beauty Belle I had the privileged of meeting the amazing international perfume expert Danny Ventura. Danny has worked with Issey Miyake, Elie Saab, Narciso Rodriguez and many more to create the beautiful designer fragrances. I can't even explain to you how excited I was to meet him. I was a little star struck when I did. He is so suave and cool.
I have always struggled to find and purchase perfumes that really represent me. When you go perfume shopping it is very easy to feel over whelmed by all the different scents and beautiful bottle shapes. There are so many scents to choose from it can become a daunting task finding the perfect scent. Sometimes perfumes smell amazing in the bottle but once it hits your skin it smells awful. Thanks to Danny Ventura he has created personality tests to discover scents that suits your unique style, personality and are perfect for your body chemistry.
At the
workshop I was required to fill out a multiple choice questionnaire about my
personality. Once that was done I sat down and had a one on one consultation
with Danny Ventura. He tallied up my scores and chose three scents that
represented my personality. He sprayed each individual scent on a tester card
and told me to give a colour that describes or represents the scents to me. I
chose three colours, orange, red and purple. He then placed the three scents
together and told me to describe a place of where I feel I am when I smell the
scents. I told him I felt like I was in a beautiful sunny garden with lots of
colourful flowers, balloons on a warm fun day. To my surprise those three
scents made up a perfume that perfectly suits me: Elie Saab Eau De
Toilette!
Danny was
so spot on with my personality fragrance I was completely in awe! He told me
that I should stay away from overbearing floral scents and that I liked a burst
of fragrance that fizzles out during the day. So me! The scent that most suited
me was Elie Saab Eau De Toilette made up of white floral and honey notes. I was
in perfume heaven when I sprayed it on. It is soft, sweet and citrus all at the same
time. At the end Danny gifted me with
the new Issey Miyake fragrance called Absolue. Gosh, this perfume is so
beautiful indeed. Like liquid gold in a perfume bottle! It was so much fun and very eye
opening to meet Danny Ventura. It is great to know what I should
look out for when I go perfume shopping again. It was an amazing
experience that I will never forget.
