Vintage Fashion: Leather Jacket

Hello ladies! It has been a while since I done a fashion post on the blog. I recently came across two leather jackets which my mom and dad wore back in the 70's when they were dating. It is such timeless pieces and thought I would do a look post on how I would incorporate a 70's leather jacket into my 2013 wardrobe. Vintage fashion never goes out of style if you pair pieces together in the right way. This month of August I thought I would pay a little tribute to my awesome parents in these posts. Their birthdays are on the 13th of August. Yes, that is right they were born on the same day! Too cute!



First up is a black leather jacket that my mom wore when she was 16 years old:




As you can see, a black leather jacket paired with a girly floral dress gives an outfit an edgy and fun look. In Cape Town we are between winter and spring so the tights and lace up boots not only provides warmth but adds to the vintage rustic feel of the outfit. It is a fun day time look that can be worn on lazy weekends out with friends.

    I absolutely LOVE your whole outfit, the jacket is gorgeous! And those boots are so cool! I need them in my life.

    My mom had a slim figure and really great taste but unfortunately, as the years went by, her wardrobe changed too. I used to love dressing up in her clothes though.
