Stila Colour Balm Lipstick

Stila has a new range of lipsticks out in 10 shades called Color Balm Lipstick. This is a two in one that promises to give your lips shiny vibrant colour with the added benefits of a moisturising balm.

I received one in Gemma (Pink Violet) 09. When I first opened the lipstick I nearly jumped in my skin because it looks like a deep purple colour in the lipstick case. Almost like something you would wear to a trance party:-) I thought to myself in those split seconds how on earth am I going to pull this lipstick off? I quickly glided the lipstick across my lips and to my surprise my lips turned a warm berry colour. I wear lipstick everyday and am not shy when it comes to bright colours. This is a perfect balance of pink, plum and berries.

The lipstick has peppermint oil and sunflower extracts to soothe and calm your lips as well as a lovely light peppermint scent. It glides on the lips smoothly leaving a shiny and bold colour. I wore it for six hours and my lips felt moisturised throughout the day. I love that the colour didn't wear off easily as I ate and drank like most shiny or balm lipsticks do. Instead the colour stayed on for quite a long time without leaving my lips dry or flaking.

I love what the colour does to my complexion and I cannot wait to have fun and spice up my winter wardrobe with this warm but fun shade. I also love the cute packaging and lipstick case. You can use the top lid as a little mirror if you are in a fix and need to apply lipstick quickly and need to see what you are doing. This is a great lipstick that gives lovely colour and moisture to the lips. I would love to buy shades in red and pink as well. I have mentioned before that I am really starting to fall in love with Stila products and they are cruelty free which I love!

*Stila is available at Woolworths and Truworths in South Africa. This lipstick retails for R210*
