Pond’s BB Cream High Tea Launch

 Ponds Flawless Radiance range launched a new BB cream called Flawless Radiance BB. This is a break through cream for the brand as it is the first to create a unique chocolate shade for women of colour in South Africa. Extensive research was done all over the continent to create the perfect shade of chocolate that would suite the majority of the South African market. The cream comes in two shades chocolate and beige and promises to:

*Create a flawless and even skin tone
*Remove blemishes and cover up existing ones
*To have light reflecting pigments which bounces off blemishes to create an illusion that they are not there.
*To protect the skin from UV rays with the SPF30
*To last for 8hours
*To have no oiliness or dryness on the skin

I really wanted to see if the cream lives up to its promises so I decided to mix the beige and chocolate shade to create a perfect cover up shade for me. The application is very easy to use and the tube can be carried in your handbag for touch ups throughout the day if needed. I loved that the cream is not oil based but uses silicones to create a radiant glow. The cream stayed matte throughout the day. I loved the texture of my skin. It felt smooth and my blemishes were covered with a medium coverage. It works amazing as a makeup base or to wear on its own for a natural look. My skin looked radiant and the cream lasted until I washed it off. I would definitely recommend it. I really hope they come out with a medium/tanned shade really soon.

Some photos of the the high tea including the talks and eats and BB cream; Me at the high tea with my sister posing with the makeup artist Michel Ingoglia; Me with some of the lovely ladies who attended the high tea;

I was invited to the Ponds high tea held at the exquisite Taj hotel in Cape Town. It was a wonderful morning filled with beautiful treats, lovely ladies and informative talks about the Ponds brand and the new BB cream. My favourite part was the very talented makeup artist Michel Ingoglia who demonstrated to us how to use our BB cream effectively and showed us some makeup tricks to create a beautiful complexion. I also loved the talk on the science behind the making of the BB cream and how it works on the skin. It was very informative and enlightening.

I would love to thank Ponds for hosting such a wonderful high tea filled with fun and education. It was great to see the amount of work and dedication that goes into making these skincare products. I learnt so much and fell in love with the Ponds brand even more.

  1. sounds like a lovely product :) I've had very little luck with BB creams so far, I'm yet to find one that doesn't look orange on me. Nice to know there are companies that are catering for more womens needs and different skintones! x

    1. Yes, I have also read reviews of some horrible bb creams. I won't mention brand names, lol. This one does not make you look orange or grey.

  8. Everything looked so pretty at the high tea. I saw a few bloggers posting pics of it. The BB cream sounds great. I have blemished and acne prone skin so I usually stick to very light moisturizers and sometimes the BB creams are bit too oily for my skin. I will have a look at this one.

    1. I also hate heavy foundations. This one feels great on theskin and is not oily at all.
