Essence Lip and Cheek Creme

I found this nifty Essence product in a box full of beauty sale items in a beauty store. The Essence  Lip and Cheek Creme comes from the Ready For Boarding Trend edition range. I haven't bought anything from this edition and thought I would try this little product. I am constantly road tripping with my work and have to ensure that I travel light with my beauty products. This is a two in one lip and cheek tint and thought this would be great for my travel toiletry bag. I save on carrying blushes, brushes and lipsticks.

I have it in the colour 01 Sending you kisses. The colour is more pink than it looks in the photo above. It is actually a great blend of red and deep pink to give my skin tone a natural blush look. It's quite pigmented so a little goes along way. It is very creamy and can be built up to the colour intensity that suits you. This works wonderfully on my lips. It does not dry out the lips or leave it looking unnaturally coloured when it fades. When applied to cheeks you have to be very careful that you don't end up looking like  you smudge red lipstick all over your cheek. Because it is a cream and not powder you have to use your finger tips very lightly across the apples of your cheeks. Start small with a little bit of product and build it up from there. The point is to look naturally flushed and not like Bozo the clown.

This product is great to use  on a plane flight, if you travelling on long road trips or for every day use and you want a more natural look than over done look. If you happen to find this product under sale items at your beauty store be sure to purchase it. It's a great travel product for an amazing cheap price. Love it!

  1. I saw this a few days ago and I didn't pick it up because it looked like it would be too red on my skin. If I see it again, I am definitely getting it. Thanks for the review :)

  2. Looks good but don't think it will suit my skin colour, looks a lil too pigmented.

  5. I saw this at Clicks, thought 'what a bargain' and almost bought it, but talked myself out of it, because I haven't finished my blusher at home, hehe. Also I recognise the background :)

  6. The only thing that I have of this range is the makeup bag. I love the sound of this. Won't this make your cheek feel sticky?

    1. It's not sticky at all and not on the lips either.
